Gondia: Water supply in Dargoli, which supplies water to the city, is just enough to save water for just ten days. The water level in the city has increased due to the 0.83 percent water reservoir. If there is no rain in the next few weeks, there is a possibility of waterfall in the city.
Water supply is provided under the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikshana division under the water supply scheme of Rs 100 crores set up near Dargola in Gondia city. However, in the previous district less rainfall was received than the average. The resulting irrigation projects and wells had less water stock in the well. In March, the Wainganga river’s dryness had deteriorated due to its city’s water supply scheme. In order to overcome the water scarcity of the city, the District Administration and Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran Department overcome 90 kilometer from Gondia to bring the Pujariito to the water through the canal water. So far, the priests have been evacuated from the dam twice to water supply scheme in Dargoli. Therefore, the residents of the city did not face much problem of water scarcity. However, due to the rising temperature, the irrigation reservoir of the project is also declining rapidly. Nearly all the projects in the district have reached the bottom. This includes the project for the priest. The project left only 0.83 percent water supply on Wednesday (12th). So the hope of getting water for the city has also gone off due to this project too. The wells of water supply scheme in Dargoli have also reached the lowest level and only water is available for only 10 days water supply. It is not possible to refuse the possibility of water beating in the city if there is no heavy rainfall in the next eight or ten days. Cities will also need to take three to four km water for drinking water like in rural areas. The attention of all is drawn towards the resolution of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran and the district administration.
Due to lack of water in the project, the hope of getting the water of this project to the residents of the priest has completely disappeared. Therefore, if the time has come to overcome the water scarcity of the city, then the Plan District Administration and the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran Department have prepared the project to release water from the KoliSarar project to the Pujariito project and to reach the water supply scheme in Dangoli.
Lack of permanent solution plan
Considering the growing population of the city three years ago, an additional water supply scheme of Rs 100 crore was created in the river of Wainganga in Dargoli. However, for the last two years, residents of the city have to face water scarcity problem. Therefore, there is some technical error in planning this plan. The city residents have been hit by this.
Every year the cost of the hostel
Every year, the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran Department has made bunds filled with sand in the river basin to increase the water level of the water supply scheme in the port of Wainganga in Dangoli river. For this, four to five lakh rupees are spent. But after this the water scarcity problem can not be overcome, this cost is also meaningless.
Medium and minor projects are critical
Like the big projects in the district, the status of medium, minor projects and mala ponds are also serious. 9 medium projects are 5.16 percent, 22 minor projects 5.93 percent and 65 manga ponds have 5.95 percent water reserves.
