Gondia: The machinery of revenue and agriculture department has begun to prepare the list of farmers till only two hectares from last week. A total of 2.86 lakh account holders are in the district and 2.5 lakh farmers have agriculture till 2 hectares. The agriculture and revenue department has come forward after scrutinizing the lists. Therefore, it is clear that 2.5 lakh farmers of the district will be benefitted under Prime Minister Kisan Samman Yojana.
Union Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced that he would pay Rs 6,000 a year to the farmers having two hectares of farming till the budget. This will be given to the farmers in three phases. Before the code of conduct of the Lok Sabha elections, the government is struggling to get the first installment of the first installment into the bank account of the farmers. That’s why the Department of Revenue and Agriculture Department has been working on the war-footing since last week.
Under this arrangement, the work of preparing the list of farmers’ fields till two hectares of the two regions of the district was completed on Tuesday (December 12th). There are 2 lakh 86 thousand account holders in the district.
The fact that two and a half lakh farmers have two hectares of agricultural land, has come out after scrutiny. It is clear that so many farmers will get the benefit of this scheme.
The lists prepared by Revenue and Agriculture Department will be read at every village level. After this, the agricultural assistants will verify the names by visiting the families of the farmers of the respective villages. After this, uploading this list to MahaLalline will be the first installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Yojana on the bank account of the farmers in the first week of March.
Increasing numbers increases the number
It is clear that the Prime Minister Kisas Samman Yojana will get the benefit of farmers having agriculture till only 2 hectares. Therefore, there is no excitement among the farmers who have more than this area. The current government will not be able to uproot the resentment of farmers in the face of Lok Sabha elections.
