The sand mafia in the district, through sand ghat, is extracting a lot of sand and transporting it in Nagpur and other districts. There is a huge demand in Nagpur and other districts on the sands of Wainganga. The sand is extensively excavated and dumped from the valley. Illegal sand dunes have been started on the Sand Valley from Muradada, Samtola, Mahalgaon, Deori, Dangorli, Kasasa, Tiroda taluka, Ghatkuroda, Chandori, Kavalwada, Sawra and Arjuni in Gondia taluka. Gondia district has a border with Madhya Pradesh due to which sand is being smuggled through Arjuni, Bondari, Khairanjali and Tiroda. A large number of stone stoning work is being done in Kigandipar by regulating the work. Meanwhile, the revenue of millions of rupees is going down due to all this type of government. This matter is known to officials of revenue and related departments. But they are ignoring it voluptantly. The government increased the penalty amount to prevent illegal trafficking.
