Gondia: Proposal for cleaning and beautifying the vulture tank of Kidangipar in Taluk taluka has been in the dust in the government office for the last three years. The villagers complained to the government and the administration regarding this. However, it has not been noticed yet. Thus, the beautification of the vulture lake is affected by office-bearers.
Mundar Nandgaye, then the ZP member of the Dongargaon area, followed up with the then ZP Member Vijay Shivanakar and approved a fund of Rs 50 lakh for the beautification of the villa in Kidangipar. The then Executive Engineer, ZP, Small Irrigation Department conducted a survey on June 26, 2015 for pond repair and beautification. After this the work of this pond was included in the 2015-16 plan for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
After the survey of the pond, the budget for construction of pitching, gate, watercote, creek was prepared. From January 2016, it was decided to start the construction work of this lake.
However, the construction of the pond does not start yet, despite taking three years.
The local MLAs followed up with the government to beautify this lake. But the administration did not take any step yet.
