Conduct strict adherence to the Code of Conduct

District Collector Dr. Kambambri Balakwade appealed to the officials and employees to strictly adhere to the Model Code of Conduct, according to the notification given by the Election Commission of India, in accordance with the forthcoming Lok Sabha General Election-2019.

Gondia: District Collector Dr. Kambambri Balakwade appealed that officials and employees of the Model Code of Conduct should strictly follow according to the notification given by Election Commission of India, in order to avoid any untoward incident in the district in accordance with the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections 2007.
On Friday (8th) on the backdrop of the Lok Sabha elections, he held a meeting of all the office-bearers of the district planning committee in the district collectorate office and informed about the election. Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Dr. Raja Dayanidhi, Additional District Collector Ashok Latare, Deputy Collector (Election) SN Chaudhari were present in the meeting. Speaking further, Dr. Balkavde said that instructions have been issued to the Police Administration and Excise Department for strict restriction on transport of liquor and liquor in the district during Lok Sabha elections.

Also, as soon as the code of conduct comes into effect, the Police Department should ensure proper arrangement of law and order. The promotion of election on religious places is strictly prohibited. Voting on the name of another is a crime. The administration should arrange for the departure of a devotee to vote. He said that the Police Speaker should take special vigilance only for the election of the loudspeakers for election campaigning from 6am to 10pm.

Political parties need to get permission from the police department for the ‘road show’ of election campaign. During election campaign, the use of plastic is to be avoided. After the implementation of the code of conduct, all departments should take caution that the new program can not be started. If there are any meetings about elections, it is necessary to obtain permission from the Police Department.

As soon as the Code of Conduct is implemented, the government hoarding flakes are to be taken within 24 hours, while the private sector hoarding flexes are to be removed in 72 hours. Resident Deputy District Collector Harish Dharmal and all the office heads of the district were present.

Otherwise, the action on officers and employees

While giving information about the Model Code of Conduct in the meeting, Balakwade, Lok Sabha elections should be carried out in peaceful environment and fairly. Any official in the Code of Conduct should not approach the political office, otherwise he will be given appropriate action according to the rules.
