Gondia: The state government has shown green flags to the government medical college (Medical) to provide funding of Rs. 1 crore to modern equipment to provide quality services to the patients. Therefore, the poor patients will get treatment only.

Gondia started the government medical college for three to four years. However, there is still a lack of various healthcare facilities. So patients have to go to a private hospital and take treatment. Government Medical College has often demanded funds from the government for the purchase of modern machinery for the treatment of patients. After this, the government has sanctioned a fund of Rs. 1 crore for the purchase of various equipments in the financial year 2018-19. The Medical Education and Medicines Division has sanctioned the purchase of machinery from March 8, which has opened the way to purchase modern machinery. Hopkin Bio-Pharmaceutical Scientific Ltd., through Mumbai, will be procured from these machines.

The government medical college will be procured from the fund of Rs. 1 crore, ultrasonic generator and discotheque, diode laser system, automated HPLC system for thalassemia and hemoglobinopathyl testing and screening, series pump and other equipment.
