Gondia: District Election Department has prepared well for the Bhandara-Gondiya Lok Sabha election. Election commissioner of the Bhandara-Gondiya constituency, Dr. Partha Sarathi Mishra, said that the election machinery should work sensibly to carry out this election in a fear-free and transparent environment.
He was speaking on guidance in the meeting of the Nodal Officers in the District Collectorate’s office on Thursday (Day 4). District Collector and District Electoral Officer Dr. Kambambri Balkavade, Superintendent of Police Vinita Sahu and Dr. Raja Dayanidhi, the nodal officer of Sweep was present. Speaking further, Dr. Mishra, it is a national festival since it is a voting day of 11th April. To celebrate this festival, it is necessary to successfully carry out the responsibility of elections through various systems. All the mechanisms of the work will work for the election while working for the election. Be careful not to commit anybody’s mistakes while doing these tasks. In the time of the election, the counting of votes in the elections will be able to fulfill their responsibilities through very subtle planning. Media is very active during this period. If something goes wrong then that mistake makes a difference. But everyone should work with the vigilance during elections. He also said that the duty department should be cautious to prevent illegal liquor transport in the district.
Dr. Mishra said that the election is a collective responsibility, it is very important for us to follow the Model Code of Conduct during this period. During elections, officials and employees working in the electoral system should not talk about political matters.
Continucts the tradition of keeping the elections in peace in the district. Everyone working in the electoral system must read and abide by the terms and conditions of the election. All the voters should vote in large numbers, including new voters, senior citizens, and Divyaing voters in the district. He urged all the people of the electoral system to work hard and make this election a success.
District collector Dr. Balkhade gave information about the upcoming assembly constituencies in the two Lok Sabha constituencies in the district as well as the efforts made for the registration of the voters. He also informed about the voting in the general elections held in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha constituencies held in 2014. He said that in this Lok Sabha election, there will be 9 Sakhi polling stations in the district. He told about the facilities provided at the polling station, the information available on the available EVMs and VVPat machines as well as the manpower, transport arrangements for the elections.
Dr. Dayanidhi said that various activities were implemented in the district under Voters awareness campaign. He said that special public awareness campaign has been implemented for the Divya Vigilance, Dr. Dayanidhi will provide the facilities for wheelchairs and rams along with other arrangements for Divyan constituency to the goddesses at polling stations.
