Gondia: People who are singing as traditional agriculture are facing a crisis of hunger. The government has not given any sympathy to their employment. However, due to the beauty of development, the government has set up the conspiracy to set up Singaada jobs.
Singda is cultivated in 200 ponds of government and private districts in Gondia district. Earlier there were more ponds. But now that number is decreasing day by day. Singda farming is more in the ponds in which the water from the village goes to the lake. But in the name of beautifying government-owned ponds, the government has employed generation of Singer-aged farmers. In order to beautify 75% of the government’s ponds, the government has stopped singing business. Therefore, people linked to this business are facing unemployment right now.
Fishermen’s Institute (Bongaon) member Durgprasad Rahekwar has informed that 5000 citizens of this district are doing business in this district. In May, the singh vine is planted in a lake to plant Singda. For this, lakes are taken from the Panchayat Samiti or from private farm owners.
After three and a half months, the singles crop is visible. In the 4 months of August to November, singing of singings is done four times in a single pond with a gap of 20-20 days. There was a person who had a farmer’s farming income of 30 thousand from a lake. One quintal on one tonne leaves. Four quarts are being removed from a lake in 4 pieces, according to Gangaram Barve of Bhawbhutinagar.
They are neglected by the government giving no attention to the ones doing singa business. On the contrary, the government has snatched their ponds in the name of beautification.
Influence of diseases
With Dhana, there is a disease of Ganga and Mira, Karpaa disease. Therefore, the leaves of singing are destroyed by the thaw. Fisheries can not be traded in the pond which is cultivated in the lake. Fish are not able to do business because fish are not getting oxygen. Shikishan Sonare of Khant Bhabhbatinagar expressed that the money was not available for cultivation in case of disease in Singabad.
Spending more income reduction
Since Singda is affected due to various diseases, frequent spraying powder is needed. Medicines are sprayed for fruit to come. Singing has to boil in the market after harvesting. It requires large quantities of wood. Despite 8 months of farming, a pond yields 30 thousand rupees. Daslal Mankar informed that the cost of cultivation is not available for the occupation of 15 thousand houses.
“Our job is lost in the name of beautifying the government. Our fight for this is going on. But since we do not pay attention to the government or any of our representatives, it is a financial crisis. Even after making a lot of effort, the price of singing in the market would be more intense when customers are made.
Shingada farmer, Bhavabhuti Nagar Amava.
