Gondia: PM crop insurance scheme has been launched to compensate farmers for loss of crops due to natural calamities. However, under this scheme, farmers are not getting refund of crop insurance. In the last kharif season, the issue of crop insurance was not available to any single cropped crop insurance company. Therefore, the benefits of crop insurance are being done by insurance companies only.
Due to heavy rain, drought and kidney disease, crops damage large amounts of crops. This does not even cost the cost of cultivation of crops. As a result, farmers have time to become debt-free. Due to this depression, the farmer’s suicide path is in stone. In order to prevent this time from farmers, the government has tried to provide protection against crops under the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme. However, due to the wrong policies of insurance companies, the picture is not being given to the farmers. In the last kharif season 41 thousand 647 farmers and 9 4 non-borrower farmers had collected crop insurance. In the case of insurance premium, the farmers have filled up to 2 crore 21 lakhs in insurance companies. However, one farmer who got the crop insurance did not get the benefit of insurance. This has also been provided by the Agriculture Department. Insurance companies have prepared a rule to give benefits to farmers seeking insurance under Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme. For this he has set up a Weather Information Center in the Revenue Board. Insurance companies offer refunds at this center’s registration. However, it has been learned that during the last Kharif season the district has refused to give returns of crop insurance saying that the highest yield was made.
