Goregaon: The district has received heavy rainfall for the past two days and hundreds of houses have collapsed due to heavy rains in the four talukas on Tuesday night. Some roads in Arjuni Morgaon and Arjuni talukas were closed due to rains. As the rains continued till 8 am on Wednesday, four gates of the Pujaritola dam in the district were opened by 1.5 meters. The rains caused huge damage to houses and cattle. The district recorded an average of 8.5 mm of rainfall till 9 am on Wednesday.

The water was closed from Mandokhal, Itkheda-Sirolli, Bori to Corbhitola bridges as water flowed through the bridge on Wednesday evening. So rainfall was constant in these areas. Due to overnight rains on Tuesday, Goregaon 3.2, Tiroda 3, Arjuni Morgaon 6.9 and road Arjuni taluka recorded rainfall of 8 mm. Due to this, the river in this taluka was full of drains.
