For the development of Navegaonbond tourism complex, the State Law Department has sanctioned Rs. 4.99 crore under Regional Tourism. From this, through the entrance, the Interpretation Hall, the internal roads, the renovation of the garden, the infrastructure, the natural journey and other works are proposed. 1 crore is sanctioned for meeting arrangement on the lake side of the irrigation department, adjoining beach, surrounding greel and Jetti Point. Public Works Department has funds of Rs. 1 crore 20 lakhs for construction of hilltop garden and rest house by forest department. The planning department has sanctioned Rs 26 lakhs for the renovation of Hilltop Garden. A sum of Rs 93 lakh has been approved for the joint venture committee for adventure sports, boating, jeep line and ropeway. Although no such work has been approved for the total amount of 8 crore 38 lakhs, no work has started yet.
For the development of the tourist complexes and to provide employment to the local youth, they demanded immediate release of the funds available.
