Aamgaon: The High Court has given a historic and constitutional decision to the Govari community as tribal on 14th August. The government did not implement this ruling despite the delay of one and a half month. So Gawai Samajbadhwa gave tehsiladar Sahebrao Rathod to the tahsil office.
The tribal Govry community in the state has been fighting for the past several years to demand its justice. Even after being suicidal, 114 people have not solved the problem of the tribe of Goa. On 14 August, the High Court has ruled that the Govari Jat tribe is not an tribal on the eve of Independence Day. However, the government has not yet implemented this ruling. So there is anger in Goai community. The state government has urged the implementation of this decision immediately.
The tribal group comprised Adiwasi Gowari Samaj Coordination Committee, Shasta Amavana President Shri Chand Choudhary, Ganyeshwar Raut, Manish Raut, Nikhilesh Raut, Subhash Raut, Rachichand Bhonde, Vinod Gate, Ramu Shendre, Shamlal Nevare, Sanjay Raut and Madhora Kalsarpe.
