Gondia: Gondia district started as uninterrupted day and reading Anand Day. This program was implemented in whole Maharashtra. On October 15, APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary is celebrated as an inspiration.
In this district, 2 lakh 28 thousand 192 students studied 23 lakh books and Dr. Salman greeted Kalam. The Government of Maharashtra, the former President of APJ, read the Anand Yatra program started in the district. Decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Abdul Kalam (October 15) as a reading inspiration day.
Accordingly, this day was celebrated in 1633 schools of Gondia district. In this, 2 lakh 28 thousand 292 students read 2.3 million books. Under this, a student has read at least 10 books. Regarding the inspiration for reading inspiration, school visits to all Class-I and Class-2 officers in the district and on this day, the day-to-day and handloom days have been implemented in all schools.
Each student had kept books in the schools for the average reading of 10 books. In some schools, books have been read by making tabs and computer-enabled book apps available online. Books were made available through public libraries, educationists, youth groups, teachers, where the books were likely to be reduced.
The program was organized on October 15 in all schools and every student has read at least 10 (16 female) books according to the planning. In order to ensure the successful implementation of the program, the Department of Education assisted the Central Heads, Extension Officers and Group Officers as per planning.
77,000 students studied in Gondia
27 thousand 649 students of 212 schools in Arjuni-Morgaon taluka read it. 22,895 students studied in 159 schools of Amgaon taluka. 19 thousand 658 students studied in 200 schools in Deori Taluka. In the 408 schools of Gondia taluka, 77 thousand 711 students studied. 18 thousand 117 students studied in 158 schools in Goregaon taluka. 16 thousand 467 students of 148 schools in Salekasa taluka read it. 17 thousand 61 students studied in 154 schools in the road-Arjuni taluka. 28 thousand 76 students of 194 schools in Tiroda taluka read it.
