Guardian Minister Dr. Fuke further said, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has taken a historic decision to waive the loan of Rs. So far, 77 thousand 464 accountable farmers in the district have received a loan waiver of Rs 223 crore. So far, the benefit of the Central Government’s Farmer’s Honor Scheme has been given to 1 lakh 22 thousand 142 farmers in the district so far. Through the water-based Shivar Abhiyan, there has been a revolution in conservation and conservation of soil. Due to this mission, the movement of people in the district has received 8,992 works in 399 villages of the district during the last four years. Out of this, 82 thousand 496 TCM water reservoirs have been generated and 1 lakh 64 thousand 993 hectares area has been created.
He said that initiatives have been taken in the last five years to raise the standard of living of the farmers of the district. Fuke said an irrigation capacity of 14,563 hectares has been generated from various projects in the district. As the electricity supply to the 11,884 farmers’ agricultural pumps was given until July 2019, the productivity of those farmers has increased due to poor irrigation. Under the Dhadak Irrigation wells program, the completion of 1979 wells of 2 thousand has helped to improve the financial condition of the concerned farmers due to the creation of new 1184 hectares of protected irrigation capacity. He said that the government has fulfilled the dream of constructing houses of beneficiaries due to the completion of 15 thousand 967 houses of the Prime Minister Housing Scheme and 21 thousand 141 households from Ramai, Shabari and Indira Awas Yojana.
Dr. Fuke further said that the completion of 81 works of 430 km of rural roads in the district has been completed in four years under the Chief Minister’s Village Road Scheme. The district is free from fraud and 41 thousand 797 toilets have been repaired and used for repair. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Scheme has been important for the district to prevent the migration of laborers from the district. He said that 6 lakh 89 thousand 729 families were provided for employment in five years.
Stating that the government stands firmly behind the backdrop of paddy growers in the district, Dr. Fuke said that in the last five years, the government has procured 1759 crore 96 lakh rupees and deposited this amount in the farmer’s account. 212 crore 62 lakh bonus has been given to these paddy growers. The Forest Rights Act is being implemented effectively in the district and 986 555 hectares have been sanctioned for 856 collective forest rights and 8 thousand 500 individual claimants have been allotted 12 thousand 64 hectares for their livelihood. 556 farmers have been benefitted by Babasaheb Ambedkar Krishi Swavalamban Yojana. He said that under the 50 crores tree-lugging campaign, 10 crores 39 lakh 93 thousand trees were planted in the district.
Dr. Fuke further said, Gondia district is naturally rich. The district has a large number of tourist destinations, pilgrimages, wildlife, and migratory birds. Apart from developing the Navegava-Nagjira Tiger project which is the glory of the district, other tourist destinations are being developed along with the development of other tourist destinations in the district. How to get there and how to create a large number of jobs for the locals. He said that we are working hard for this.
